Bury Metropolitan Borough Council chooses CareWorks to integrate children’s data across Education and Social Care
CareWorks is pleased to announce that Bury Metropolitan Borough Council selected CareWorks’ integrated case management technology to implement a central children records system providing a single view of a child’s educational and social care information across Bury’s Children’s Services Department.

To facilitate the effective sharing and pertinence of child information received from separate school and social care systems across the Children’s Services Department, CareWorks will expand the capabilities of its leading case management platform for integrated Social Care, CareWorks RAISE, and become the central Children’s Services information system. Using VisionWare’s MultiVue technology, the solution will provide a single view of children across Education and Social Care. In line with the objectives of the Every Child Matters programme, the system will also integrate with the wider council CRM, ContactPoint, document management and middleware solutions for e-government.

Mike Hather, Bury MBC Children’s services Information and Systems Manager, explains: “Of all the current information systems we are using, we felt that the CareWorks and VisionWare technology would long term achieve better integration of children's services data recording and improve sharing of data across our Children’s Services Department, which will be ever more important over the coming years in Bury”.

Michael Dolan, Managing Director at CareWorks, added: “We look forward to working with Bury Children’s Services to enable them to integrate information for their children across Education and Social Care and present it through the RAISE system”.
