CHILDREN’S SERVICES
Allowing social workers to spend more time with children and families
CareDirector Children is a children social care case management system that allows social workers to spend more time with children and families. It is designed to enhance good decision making and produce best practice to help social workers deliver better services to children and their families. CareDirector has been developed to allow changing and emerging policies such as the Munro Review to determine the configuration of the system as opposed to delivering a prescribed product. Because it is built on an industry-standard customer service platform by Microsoft, CareDirector Children is a more flexible and familiar system that is easier to use and tailor to support whatever approach your local authority is using to keep children safe. CareDirector is the only children social care solution on the market that was re-built from the ground up for the post-Munro world, with flexibility and usability at its core.
CareDirector is familiar and user-friendly
Easy for staff to use, and intuitive to learn
CareDirector sits on a familiar Microsoft platform which makes it easy for staff to use, and intuitive to learn. It comes complete with mail merge to Microsoft Word and works seamlessly with Excel. Client Summary screens provide all the key information on a child in one easy to understand screen. This makes it easier for social workers to quickly get a current position on a child’s situation. This ‘heads up’ display can also be configured to your exact requirements.
Integrated with Microsoft Outlook
CareDirector is fully integrated with your email system, Microsoft Outlook, which means that tasks, emails and appointments are automatically recorded on the case management system saving time and improving efficiency. Caseloads can be viewed through Microsoft Outlook. A social worker can even take CareDirector offline on a laptop and work the way they want to work when on the move.
CareDirector is flexible and easy to change
Children’s Social Care will continue to evolve as lessons are learned following the Munro Review and feedback translated into reform. Changes to CareDirector are greatly simplified and can be made quickly and cost-effectively (in many instances without the need to involve CareWorks). Administrators supporting CareDirector can easily make changes to the system locally and deploy immediately. 80% of the core products is locally configurable. As such, not only are local authorities able to create documents, reports, reference data, workflows and local screen views. But you will also be able to make fields mandatory, add and remove fields, create changes to screen layouts and create user dashboards.
